Extraction screw

Function:

Extraction is a physical substance separation process, during which an extract is dissolved out of a hard mixture of substances, the so-called extraction material with the help of an extracting agent.
This process is e.g. Used in order to dissolve the extraction material from tealeaves. In this example, water and the tea herbs are let into the U-trough. The interior of the trough is heated by means of a double jacket. The water dissolves the extraction material from the tea herbs. By tilting the extractionscrew, the water drains together with the dissolved extract. A sieve prevents solid particles from being flushed out. The slowly turning spiral carries the tea herbs to the outlet. The herbs can be drained with a compression screw, so that no extraction material is lost.
